Delegations from 17 countries and representatives of the European Commission took part in the meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of transport and communications of the RK S.Akhmetov. Co-chairman was the Head of the European commission in Kazakhstan Van Der Meer. |

| In December 3, 2007 the meeting with the mission of the Islamic Development Bank in Kazakhstan was held in the Ministry of transport and communications of the RK. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Vice-minister of transport and communications of the RK Dulat Kuterbekov. The delegation of the IDB’s mission in Kazakhstan was headed by the director of the Department-1 on counries’ operations Yusuf Khan. In the course of the meeting main tendencies of economic development, priorities of developing the sector with appropriate structures and issues of development of three-year Working Program of the IDB for 2008-2010 (1429-1431 by hijrah) were discussed. Besides, participants of the meeting considered project proposals, which are to be included into the three-year Working Program of the IDB. The Islamic Development Bank expressed its interests in financing the transit corridor “Western Europe – Western China” of the highway “Tashkent – Shymkent – Taraz - Korday”. |
