| In January 24 , 2008 in Astana the press conference, devoted to the opening of the classification company Lloyd’s Register Group in Kazakhstan, was held in the Ministry of transport and communications of the RK. The Ambassador of the Great Britain in Kazakhstan Paul Brummel, the general director of the Lloyd’s Register Kazakhstan LLP Chris Renvick, the head of the Committee of transport control Adilet Barmenkulov and the director of the Department of water transport Beryk Uandykov participated at the press conference, which was held under the chairmanship of the Vice-minister of transport and communications of the RK Dulat Kuterbekov. |

Delegations from 17 countries and representatives of the European Commission took part in the meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of transport and communications of the RK S.Akhmetov. Co-chairman was the Head of the European commission in Kazakhstan Van Der Meer. |

| From the beginning of December traffic was launched on three strips of the motorway Astana – Shchuchinsk. At present, pavement was done on 205 km, and movement was opened on 194 km. |
